Question:     How can I get rid of those annoying pop-up ads on the Internet?

Answer:        Mmmm.....     Yes, once again we have to deal with those scoundrels and

scallywags that intrude on our freedom to surf the Internet without being

bombarded with scurrilous ads for items we neither want nor asked for!!

Fortunately, there are programs that can eliminate these intrusions. We

suggest the Google Toolbar available from this link:  Google Toolbar

The Google Toolbar is FREE and allows you to choose how to handle each page.

If you do nothing for a web page, then all pop-ups will be stopped. If you click on

the pop-up window, then pop-ups will be allowed for that page only.

As always, download the file (install program) to your desktop, and then

double click on the downloaded icon on your desktop to install the

program. Once the Google Toolbar has installed, the downloaded icon can

be moved to the recycle bin as it is no longer needed. The Google Toolbar will

appear when you launch Internet Explorer Web Browser.

PLEASE NOTE: Not all pop-ups are unwanted. For example, you may visit a

Web Page that has information you want (like banking or stock information)

presented as a pop-up. In these cases, click the pop-up window on the Google

Toolbar, and the message "allow pop-ups for this site" will appear. Click on that

                        item.
